Paper Arrows does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no servers to send anything to.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDK, no accounts, and no network code of any kind. It runs identically in airplane mode.
What is stored on your device
The app saves a small amount of data locally so your game survives being closed:
- Which levels you have cleared and how many stars you earned
- Your chosen palette, number of hearts, and language
- Whether music and sound effects are switched on
This is written to your device's standard app storage. It never leaves the device, is not backed up to any service we control, and is deleted when you uninstall the app. You can also erase it yourself from Settings inside the app.
Permissions
On Android the app declares no runtime permissions. On iOS it requests none. The app reads the accelerometer to tilt the title card slightly as you move the phone; this is a motion sensor, not a location sensor, the readings are used only to draw a frame and are never recorded or transmitted.
Children
The app contains no advertising, no purchases, no chat, no user-generated content, and no links out. It is safe for children, but because it collects nothing at all, it is not directed at children as a category under COPPA or the GDPR.
Third parties
The app bundles background music released under the Creative Commons Zero licence and sound effects generated by us. No third-party service receives any information about you, because the app never makes a network request.
Changes
If a future version of the app starts collecting anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here rather than buried in a version number.
